Madison Kanka, MA-LLP, CAADC-DP

As a Master’s level psychologist, my journey has been driven by a genuine desire to make a positive difference in people's lives by providing compassionate and effective therapy. I have spent the past several years dedicating my time to adults of diverse backgrounds within a variety of settings. After obtaining my degree from Michigan School of Psychology, I went on to provide therapeutic services to court ordered populations. Services included both individual and group therapy, addressing a variety of issues related to mental health, trauma, addiction, criminality, and domestic violence. I expanded my services to private practice, gaining a refreshing experience with adults seeking therapy for an array of reasons. I worked with individuals and couples, taking a collaborative, individualized approach to achieve their desired goals.

My approach integrates evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, mindfulness techniques, and solution-focused therapy to tailor treatment plans to each individual's unique needs and goals. Central to my practice is a belief in the importance of the therapeutic relationship. I strive to build trust, inspire hope, promote self-discovery, and empower individuals to build fulfilling and meaningful lives free from the constraints of mental health challenges and substance dependency.
